Einstein, God, and the Religious Experience

Gather up all of the collected works penned by the late Pope John Paul II and the sheer volume of information contained in his manuscripts should yield a definitive answer to the question: Was the Pope Catholic? But today both secular and religious scholars are more inclined to overanalyze the few scattered ruminations from iconic figures in history, which they then go on to authoritatively register as definitive confirmation of their true character and innermost spiritual convictions. They are often able to hazard such farfetched analyses with impunity as most of them are seldom asked to explain how it is that such idiosyncrasies seem to have mysteriously escaped the notice of the deceased’s own contemporaries.

Obama and the Maturing Presidency

Many a progressive pundit, stunned and mystified by the re-election of George W. Bush, opted to concede on the self-reassuring premise that Bush’s mysterious appeal had nothing to do with the fledgling charisma of the untried president many knew prior to the cowardly attacks perpetrated by Islamic terrorists on September 11, 2001. Some believe that it wasn’t until after we were attacked that President Bush came into his own; in other words, he grew up.

The Global Warming Scare

These days it is almost considered a punishable offense to cast doubt on the theory of Anthropogenic Global Warming; but if there is such a thing, it logically follows that its alleged dire consequences would have to be, well, global.  This has translated into an almost daily broadcast of the ever growing list of newly catalogued infirmities that have been either incontestably linked and greatly exacerbated by - or are yet to be attributed to this vast atmospheric phenomenon. In fact, Global Warming and George W. Bush share one thing in common besides their first and last initials: they are both interchangeably blamed by liberals for virtually every social, political and natural catastrophe that has befallen all of known life on earth, excluding perhaps only angelic beings.

Ahmadinejad and the Erratic Mind of the Democrat Voter

If you listened to Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad as he periodically declares that the state of Israel will soon disappear, you’d think he’s either forgotten to take his allotted dosage of lithium for that day, or that he is about to perform some sort of David Copperfield magic trick.
